that with walmart is really true...I got several email from germany about that...but what I think its about...un-employment, lousy pay...foreigners getting more then them...and just plain pissed that they don't have a good life like they had before...4 weeks vacation, paid sick time, cheap meds, all they have to live now..is america bashing 24/7 and Bush haters.
there are just jealous arschlöcher..especially of america, but then there want everything we have, but don't wanna work for it!

As a Brit I would dispute that, at least for us (well, maybe not the Scots, but the English, Irish and Welsh certainly aren't depressing). I also don't think the Italians are either. Italians are supposed to laugh more in a day than any other nation, followed by us Brits.
Now, it's well known Germany has no sense of humour, and France is in a constant bad mood, and the rest of it's nothing special, but I think it's a bit of a generalisation there.

That's all bull...I am german and I have lived in other european countries. Have you ever lived with europeans??? They smile, they have fun, they are friendly. Maybe when you meet the first time, they are not directly laughing their butts off because they need to know someone first. I am now living in USA and I can't say that everyone here is smiling. Here are so many depressed people, why do you think that 80% have a shrink??

its like saying all young people are thugs, hooligans.
All Policeman are bast..ds
All Old people are miserable.
By stereotyping people makes others presume that all certain races, creeds, religions, ages etc. all behave in the same way....not true.
Everybody is an individual and all people react or act differently, and just to put you right not all europeans are miserable...and those that may be probably have their own reasons for feeling that way.

Some Americans are depressing...
I think that is overgeneralizing. Yes, some are, but that is EVERYWHERE just like in the US, Canada, Australia... etc. There are depressing people everywhere.
I do not think Europeans are depressing at all. I think they are fascinating.
