How can i make a big crystal out of alum or any other type of crystal making mineral that u can buy?

Well im interested with crystals and have a smithsonian crystal making set with 9 crystals.they r all small and now i want to make a big crystal out of sum kind of mineral that u can buy at a store.can any1 help?thx for answers!im accepting answers for life!

uh metals don't grow crystals. it's their complexes that grow crystals and large crystals take time and it not being messed with
