Impossible. You cannot have complete isolation from other people and be employed at the same time. Your cheques have to go somewhere. You say money doesn't matter, but it does if you are looking for a career. Otherwise you could just hole up in the hills somewhere and live off the land. I hear Alaska is nice.

Try writer or artist. You can do ether of these without much contact with people, and you can do ether outside or inside.

I do not think there is a job or anything else in this world where you have absolutely no contact with someone, even when you go outside you have contact with people.

Why would you want to be so isolated from the world anyway?

It's very difficult to obtain a job with the Forest Service usually-- first you have to have a college degree and even THEN the list of candidates for the type of job you're talking about is a mile long.

My suggestion is get a degree in electrical engineering or hydraulics, and then secondarily a degree in forestry. That will enable you to have the outside/unconnected type of job you wish for plus your skill will help you to pick up a few spare bucks until your dream comes true.

I hope this was helpful! (P.S. my job isolates me from people, but it's medical transcription and almost NO ONE wants to do that!)

Park Rangers is one job.
Jobs where you repair outdoor equipment, such as radio towers and cell towers. Install tv satelite dishes is another.

My job is BOTH outdoors and indoors. I work for the government, I set and remove water meters from fire hydrants so people building and/or tearing down, buildings, will have a source of water for their jobs. I am not completely isolated, but I work alone and set my own schedule based on what work I have, or have not. I think my job is great; doing it for 20 years. Plan to do it for 30 more years.

Yes. Be a lighthouse caretaker. You are always away from everyone and a large area to take care of. Another one is to be a caretaker of Ice Station Zebra in the Antartica. Except for an occasional visit from polar bears and wayward penguins, they place is almost isolated year round. You have the million square miles of ice all to yourself. Good luck.

Um, how about a postal worker? I don't think they encounter too many people, but put mail inside boxes and whiz around in one of those little jeep thingy's or walk outside.
