It does not hurt to have your tongue pierced. When it clips, it clips tight and it is probably as painful or painless as having your ears pierced. The following four days are slightly problematic; your tongue will turn into all different colors. the day you have your tongue pierced you should not eat or smoke anything. your tongue will get swollen and you will not be able to eat much. But from my own experience its not a very drastic procedure. Although it sounds drastic

Yes. It does. I've been tattooed and pierced, but the tongue definately was painful. It wasn't that it hurt during the actualy piercing, but afterward it swelled up for 2 or 3 days and it hurt to eat, drink, brush your teeth.

The worst part is, after it heals, every so often while chewing or talking you accidentally "chomp" on the piercing, creating the MOST painful reaction. I actually lost bits of teeth while I had mine in. Needless to say, I took it out. I was sad, but damn, I'm not going to damage my teeth!

I suggest sticking to tattoos. They don't hurt and they always look good.

the actual piercing? Not really - it doesn't really hurt when they jab the needle through your tongue, but afterward? OUCH!

After I got my tongue pierced, I lived on ice cream for a few days till the swelling went down, and I was fine. The first night was the worst, but it was really no big deal.

If you're going to get your tongue pierced, make sure they use a new needle and that it's all sterile and clean and reputable.

I love my tongue piercing, and I've had it for 8 years now. :) Good luck!

I have had mine pierced twice and it doesn't hurt as bad as people think. YOu will feel a little pinch and then it's over in two seconds. JUst after you do it make sure you eat a lot of ice so your tongue wont swell up that much.

exceedingly, no. The piercer clamps your tongue which pinches a sprint and then earlier you comprehend it, you have a steel rod by using your tongue. in certainty, as quickly as I have been given my tongue pierced and appeared into the mirror to earnings it out i began out to black out because of the fact I had outfitted up all this adrenaline thinking it could harm slightly and it had no the place to pass. thankfully, I had an experienced piecer and did no longer finally end up blacking out. once you get your tongue pierced, it swells immediately and could sense like a sore muscle for a pair days. After that, the only time having the piercing develop into painful in any way develop into while i develop into studying to devour with it. earlier your tongue is going back to its unique length and you turn to a smaller bar, the enormous bar could be a sprint a discomfort to devour with, and can by twist of destiny get bitten once you try to bite. I recommend a great form of soup contained in the beginning up until eventually you alter your bar.

OK lets start at the beginning!
1) why would you want to get your tongue pierced anyway!!! it doesnt look the least bit cool in my opinion it looks skanky (no offense to people that have tongue piercings intended)
i bet your thinking "hmmm maybe if i get my tongue pierced then everybody will notice me!"
ya theyll notice alright "ewwww that is sooo weird and gross" they might say so do you still want to get your tongue pierced?

2)your tongue is VERY thick!!! squeeze it now
it would take a long time to get that ear piercer thing to get it in there! I watched a girl get her upper ear pierced it took the lady more time then it ussually does to get it pierced
so imagine how long it will take for one of those ear piercer things through your tongue!!!

FINAL WORDS: EWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

When I got my pierced tongue, it was not as bad as I was thinking it would be. I felt mostly the pulling of my tongue and the rest was not bad at all. I plan on getting me a second tongue piercing done this coming summer.

My brother-in-law got his tongue pierced a few years ago and his tongue swelled up. He sometimes speaks as if his tongue is too big for his mouth. The bad part is he works in a Call Center.
We make fun of him....poor guy.

the piercing itself hurts much less than it does when you bite your tongue. however, the healing can be a little owie. if you get it done, be sure to begin sucking on ice chips immediately to help keep the swelling down. it's much less painful if you don't allow it to swell. be sure to follow all the instructions given by your piercer!

I had my tongue pierced twice and the process didn't hurt either time (it was more uncomfortable rather painful) but my tongue was sore for a while after.. nothing too bad though.
