Yarn Council of America has a pretty good tutorial on their "Learn to Knit" website -- click on "Basics". If you get stuck, drop in at your local yarn store & I bet you'll find someone who can help you out.

http://www.lionbrand.com and http://www.diynetwork.com are two really helpful websites that have exellent beginner - advance patterns. You could also join some yahoo groups and they'll have all sorts of links to web sites that'll help you as well. Good luck

This site is extremely helpful because it has videos, not just pictures and descriptions.
