What's a great way of combining art and poetry together?

Question

I want to be a writer and an artist and I know I can do both, and have done both, very well. I don't want to keep these things seperate. Is there some way of blurring them together?

Thanks for all the great ideas.
Too bad I don't do landscapes. Mine's a bit more abstract. Maybe I can draw with the letters? That would be very cool looking.

You can add script to a painting (a short poem, perhaps a haiku painted into a landscape) so that it is a work of art & a poem. You could write a book of poetry & illustrate it, creating a work of art based on each poem. Or you could write poems about art. The possibilities are endless! People who are highly creative usually have talent in more than one area. Both art & poetry are ways of expressing your emotions & of paying homage to the beauty of nature, love, life etc. Enjoy!

I do a lot of writing and photography, so for now what I do if I want to blend poetry and art, then I have my subject (if there was one) on one side and the words on the other to have some kind of balance...or when I'm using photoshop I put the words in front of the picture...the words U say are supposed to be the focus, and the art really is supposed to add depth and power to what U say.

Do what you feel! Mix and merge all your work together and scrap all your current ways and try something new. Learn to do it in a way that the message can be conveyed to others. Be an individualist! Which ever you choose allow your imagintaion to make your emotions in to your art. Choosing one dosen't mean the other can't be a past time.
