Reduce your salt intake, give caffeine the kick, exercise with cardiovascular machines not WEIGHTS. If you are a little overweight then you need to drop a few pounds. Eat more fresh fruit and veg. Try and slow down on red meat for a while. More omega 3. Set aside time for yourself to just chill for an hour a day and do very little ( read, listen to music, long bath) Leave alcohol alone for a while. Contrary to popular opinion DO NOT GIVE UP SMOKING IF YOU ARE A SMOKER. Wait until your blood pressure is under control before you do as giving up increases your blood pressure. Also ....contrary to popular opinion, smoking is not considered a factor of high blood pressure. It is just one of those factors that encourages an over all healthier lifestyle once you do kick the habit. If your cholesterol is high you need to work on getting that down too.
Good Luck

Salt is a big player in high blood pressure. Reduce yours. Eat lower fat, lower cholesterol meals. Exercise. Walking is a good way to start. Reduce stress in your life. Have a massage, take a vacation, relax more. Don't book yourself solid. Leave time for leisure activities - going to a ballgame, fishing or anything that helps you relax. Good luck.

GLA Complex: reduces work demand on heart; increases HDL; improves liver metabolism of fats; increase flow rate in small blood vessels
CoEnzymeQ10: regulates circulatory system
Garlic Complex: dilates small blood vessels; prevents clotting; dissolves fatty deposits
Alfalfa Complex: strengthens the kidneys which make a hormone that regulates blood pressure; natural diuretic
Calcium/Magnesium: a deficiency in calcium has been linked to high blood pressure
Hope this is helpful.

There's a new theory that stroking a cat will lower your blood pressure. I guess since cats are laid back creatures, soft and warm and purr a lot, they are calming, if you like them.
Cut out salt, tobacco and alcohol...all stimulants that raise BP.
Get some mild aerobic exercise like walking or swimming, 30 min at least 4 days a week.
Cut stress, and get good sleep.

loose weight, exercise, if you smoke stop, try and cut down or out on salt, there is a good alternative to salt called Herbamare original by A. VOGEL and can be bought in any good health shop, it is very tasty, made with organic herbs and vegetables, costs around £2.99 I think. sorry that is only 4 items, if you do all that you will be doing well. it should also help your cholesterol

I'm not going to give you 5 answers.
I have been on high BP medication for 30 years and I haven't altered my life style one iota, and I am still here.
I drink like a fish and smoke like a chimnney.
So, don't worry !!!
