do NOT leave the male in the cage. the mama rabbit could possibly eat the babies, because she thinks there is a predator in the cage. (my cousin has rabbits and that happened to her, so i took the male out of my rabbits cage, and it never happened to me.) also the mama will get pregnant again, and there wont be any room for the new babies, and there wont be enough milk for all the bunnies.

They are pregnant about 30-31 days. Yes the male can be in the cage. He will not hurt the babies. You still should remove him because the babies nurse for about 5 weeks. The female will immediately get pregnant and give birth when the first litter is 4 weeks old and still nursing. The 4-week-old bunnies are just learning to bounce, run, and kick with all their might and will trample the newborns as well as take all the mother's milk. This all puts a terrible strain on the mom as well as risking the lives of the new babies.

I hope this helps you

The first thing to do is to remove the father, or any male, if he is with the Mother. This is a great time to have the male neutered, while the mother raises the babies.

Males will probably not hurt the babies, but he can impregnate the female again, even on the day she gives birth. Not only can he impregnate the mother rabbit; he will also impregnate the female offspring as soon as they mature.

The average is 31 days. The female should be kept alone with her babies. Good luck!

i might suggestion getting her spayed no in basic terms will it stop undesirable toddlers yet will stop her horomones that's a great area of the subject you apart from would could get the male castrated while sufficiently previous as he could initiate mounting her which will reason fights and rabbits can do serious harm to a minimum of one yet another.
