Answer one: the same reason your guys were so obsessed with Clinton, it makes your party look better.
Answer two: if someone is saying beware of pedophiles, it means they are trying to protect someone. No obsession, just caring for others. Would you prefer if he was given a bye for being Conservative?
Answer three: NAMBLA, the North American Man/Boy Love Association. Have you thought that maybe what party someone is doesn't influence what they support. Ok, I don't support gun laws and illegal immigration. Does that make me a Conservative? But that's impossible, I don't worship Bush and agree to killing innocent people (the court of law isn't 100% accurate, which means there are innocents on death row).

Democrats think Foley is their ticket to victory in November. Funny thing is few of them mention the young people that were alleged to have been affected by him. As far as NAMBLA is concerned, Nancy P. Minority leader in the House has a 90% approval rate with the ALCU whose attorneys defended NAMBLA in a case not long ago. If Democrats are so concerned about the welfare of children they might want to look into where she is getting or giving her support.

To answer questions one and two: because as a rival party, we (Reps and Dems) find it necessary to flaunt every wrong thing or fallibility that happens to the other party. And to answer question numero tres: I think that NAMBLA is a sick organization (almost as sick as the American Nazzys and the KKK, featuring members of both, most likely) that should be broken up, with all members tried and held at Guantanamo Bay to be tortured and beaten!

Oh, Okay, so were supposed to sit back and let John Mark Karr and Foley talk to our kids online. Makes Perfect sense to you conservatives. Paint a rosy picture on a dead body. You do it in Iraq, and now you're doing it with the pedophiles.
