some UK libraries have the set text for OU courses as reference books. You could pop to your local library and study for free

Sure you can. But university does have every subject to be learned in a order that easier to understand. I use net to do research and find solution.

If you have got to Undergraduate level, you should know enough, or be able to research in better channels than Yahoo Answers, enough to answer this question yourself.

the best way i would advise is to look for pdf's on share programs. might not take you to University level but not far away.
