The clothes you wore when you were a teen were probably strange to other age groups as well. It's part of being a teen to have some degree of rebellion and self-expression.
Most grow out of it and eventually come to a certain degre e of conformity. Other people prefer to remain to showcase their personalities through the clothes they wear for the rest of their lives.

It's what is in style. I'm sure the clothes you wear people think is strange too. As well as the clothes you used to wear back in the day some people think they were strange too.

As a first year college student that still has high school friends, i see this all the time. Teens do this in order to get attention. This is what high school is all about, getting noticed. Some people do this by using athletic skills, others by using charm and charisma, and there are those that use their unique sense of "style." These faashionable individuals are so desperate for attention that they dont care what kind they get, as long as they get it.

because teens like to be different.
If you think about it. how may tmes in your life can you wear something different and strange? When you're younger, your parents control your clothes because they are the ones with money.
when you're an adult, you have to wear sensible clothes because you are now working.

Define strange? Maybe you wear stange clothes? Generations differ from one another in style. Im sure your parents thought your clothng was strange, yet you felt differently. What a close minded question.

XD what a funny thing to ask, no offense. They do it because its a trend maybe. I make my own styles that look pretty 'funky'. When you were with your friends when you were a teen, did you wear anything that was a fad? like if you were in the 70's, they wore alfros and such. its bc it looks nice or cool for the time being

Come now, when I was a teen it was long hair and bell bottoms,band T shirts and flannel shirts with the sleeves riped off. The youth will experiment with the freedoms there growing into. My granddaughter has 28 piercings in her ears,I call her X-mass tree.

I don't know how old you are, but I'm nearing 60 and I remember;
Dirty white sneakers worn with black nylons
Garrison belts that hid the waistband of the plaid skirt I rolled up to make it shorter.
Angel blouses that made us look pregnant and were banned at school.
Cleopatra eye make up
Hair so high......o......just sooooooo high
The evil blue jeans, sure sign of depravity
I could go on but you understand, every generation has its markers.
