Sometimes...my mother is so annoying...actually all the time...She cannot stop looking through my stuff, she cannot stop minding her own business as I talk on the phone, everything I say she asks questions about it...Oh and another thing yesterday, I just asked her why she had a bigger pizza and why she didn't have the cudlet...she misunderstood and threw the pizza in my plate...I was like 'why did you do that? Here i don't want it.' and she started arguing so then she smacked me in the eye because I started getting upset...seriously...I'm 17 years old, and she says that I have an attitude...I don't even yell or curse her out!Another thing, it bothers her when I'm on the computer and says 'is that your life? Get off", Oh yeah, and another thing, She always says my room is dirty when my bed is made and all the clothes are in the closet...her excuse is a friggin makeup box on the floor next to the cheap mirror..

Am I right or wrong??

As a young adult, I would not be hitting my child at all. I disagree with your Mothers action but then every Mother is different in their beliefs and morals. Talk with your Mother and let know how you feel about her disciplinary actions. If all she's ever worried about is messy rooms, computer use and attitude then I think that she has the normal teenage daughter and she should be thankful that that's the least of her worries because there is a lot of teenagers out there doing much worse. Respect your Mom and love her but when you truly feel that there's something wrong, let her know and communicate to her and if she gets mad at let her know that your just communicating and that you don't want to fight. Good Luck!!!=)

its hard to be a parent, you know! i think you will understand how it feels like when you have a kid. I don't know what it is goin on in your household, hitting is not good both ways, sometimes kids do that too, yelling at each other. I knew a kid like that his parent keep looking if he finish his assignments, he said yes and he said you don't trust me? the mom said no not really, coz she got a letter from the teacher that he did not pass any homework . Talk to her about how you feel and what you can do to be trusted(you should be honest and do it), don'get upset, w ork it out, maybe your relationship will change better. goodluck!

A lot of teenager will get that. that's all part of growing up. My mother used to do that when I was your age. Sometimes you will think you want to smack your mother, I have had that too. Believe it or not, I am now 26, I still have that kind of imagination.

It is just out of anger, I will not actually do it. Talk to her and ask her to respect your prirvacy........don't yell. Talk to her when she is happy.

My mother used to drive me crazy too. Still does as amatter of fact even though I moved 5 states away. I've never imagined hitting her though. I used to just tune her out. You know, in one ear out the other. She'd go crazy if a pin was out of place. What you do is, whatever you know is going to set her off, deal with it before she sees it. If she does see it, diffuse the situation by "yes Mom"ing her to death. That done, make yourself scarce. Worked for me.

She needs to learn how to give you your own space and still be protective at the same time. It is hard to do but us mothers have to give our children the chance to do what we tried for so long to teach them. Morals and Values. Being to over protective will do nothing but force you to push away from her. Try to talk to her and explain all this to her!!!

It sounds like your mom has some serious issues..can you talk to your dad or a trusted aunt..Or maybe a clergy person if you all attend church....Your mom sounds like she needs help...and you don't need her taking her issues out on you.
