Calgary is a neat city.
While cold in the winter, it doesn't get a permanent snow, because a warm wind, called a Chinook, blows in every once in awhile and melts the snow. It's as clean city, it's flat (prairies), the mountains (Canadian Rockies) are nearby, and roght now there are lots of job and a shortage of housing.
