Your body will likely look horrible at 80 anyway. I guess people figure, why not decorate it the way I want? It is a method of having some control over the way your body looks, without all that pesky diet, exercise, abstinence, quitting smoking, eight hours of sleep, skin care, etc. etc.
Kidding aside, I got my tattoos because I had done things to my body that were ugly and disrespectful, and I wanted to do something that was positive and life-affirming. I know not everyone views tattoos as a positive or healthy thing, but for me they were and are. One of them was to cover up a scar. At 80, even if the tat looks different than it does today, I will still prefer looking at my artwork than at my ugly scar. It will be a warm and happy reminder of what I like and who I am.

I got my tattoos cause I wanted them and they each have meaning to me. I will NOT regret it neither when I get to be 80. That is a part of aging, looks fade, so its natural the tattoos wont look as good on me when I am 80 as they do now.
Personally I don't care if you or anyone else thinks my tattoos look sick or will look horrible when I am 80. If you don't like them don't look! It's that plain and simple. Yes I did think about what they would look like when I am 80 before I got them. It's my body not your, I will do what I want to it. Lots of guys stare at me and my nude pictures however I'm sure once I am 80 less and less people will be staring at me. I don't care!!!!
BTW Most if not all 80 year olds, their skin is wrinkled and sagging. I'm sure my tattoos will make it looks a little more appealing at least in my eyes.

being a college student, i understand how easy it is to get caught up in the times. when you go places with your friends, sometimes you do crazy things that you think is cool at the time.. however, as previously mentioned, lack of forethought is the biggest reason.. people are living in the moment, and not realizing that they will be stuck with their decision... or pay thousands of dollars for laser removal.. =)

That's because they don't know that God in the Bible told us not to get tatoos. It's in Leviticus 19:28.
