Running rich.......
Carburetor, or Fuel injected?

Fuel pressure too high
Choke mal-adjusted (carburetor)
Dead Oxygen sensor
Coolant temperature sensor out of range
Missing or stuck open thermostat.

Very Short List . . .
But with what info you offer, that is a fair start. It should keep you busy for 10 or 15 minutes.

Good Luck

Geez, that's pretty general....
how do you know it is running rich? is the smoke from the tailpipe blue? Is it running rough? could be a number of things, but since I believe this model (small truck???) came with fuel injection, it has to be the timing, or a senser has gone bad (check engine light on??) on second thought, i can't really answer this without more info dude. sorry.
