Being that times are changing, why are most banks still closed on the weekends? There are a handful of banks/branches that provide this service. Online banking is fine, but sometimes face-to-face interaction is better. Plus, most people can run errands more freely on Saturdays/Sundays. What do you think?

A lot of people think that the tellers 'are people too', and should not have to work weekends. Well, reality: supermarkets are open on weekends, fastfood restaurants, malls, etc. What about those people? If those outlets are open, where we SPEND money, banks should be open as well, where we can SAVE money.

And please, those who say someone's idea is 'dumb', has no respect, or manners.

In the area where I live, there are branch offices set up in supermarkets. These little branches are staffed evenings, and on Saturdays. I never paid attention on Sundays.

No it is a lousy idea because of the tellers. They are people too. These people might be religious and go to church every Sunday and what if Monday is a holiday then the point of opening weekends is useless because they work weekends and get off the Monday Holiday but go back to work Tues. is a DUMB IDEA.

I think its' fine they close on weekends, it is the privilege of office jobs. It's nice enough they open on Saturdays for just a ffew hours. What is the purpose of withdrawing money all the time, then u would not need to deposit money into the bank in the first place. And it really isn't NECESSARY for them to be open 24/7, it may be convenient for us, but I don't see any benefit for them.
