Yeah, I do. I moved around my whole life, and I always felt a little more restless when we lived somewhere without mountains in the distance. They remind us of nature. They remind us that there is something untamed out there that should remain so.
Plus my dad was a mountainclimber, so I always heard about them. The answer most climbers will give as to why they climb is "Because it is there." I heard that all the time.
I've never climbed a real mountain (that you need equipment and stuff for) but it is a great feeling at the end of a day-long hike to look down from the top.

When I feel spiritually down or depressed, instead of going to a church building, I go to the mountains. They are my church.

I listen to the rushing of the wind through the trees and it sounds and feels like an embrace from God. The air is cooler, cleaner, and free. The mountains are never the same - they change a little every day. Near my home, there is a mountain that turns a dark pink color every day, like magic.

Even if I move someday, I hope and plan to always live near the mountains. Then I will always be home.

Yes, Smokey mountains in Tennessee. I love to hike and I enjoy photography. The streams in the mountains have water that is crystal clear and the waterfalls are beautiful.
