Why is it when I entered yahoo.com it puts atdmt.txt cookie on my computer ?

There is no hiding place from Yahoo! especially as it is backed up by BT (British Telecom) .they are following your every move..just as much as Microsoft (aka CIA) ..dont worry about it - just clear your browsing history etc..and be a good surfer...

All sites put cookies on you and it is to speed up your accessing them again but paranoid freak that I am after every few sites I go to Tools then internet options and delete file and cookies and then have to log in again because I have knocked off the cookie of my ISP but have been hit too many times to let anyone get control of my computer and if anyone thinks they can after all the good advice I have been given here well take your best shot you miserable sods

So it knows who you are and it saves you keep signing in. Cookies are also used for monitoring forwarding by advertisers. if you want to get rid of them all get ccleaner from download.com - and that will clean all the crap off your computer.

Cookies are used by most sites. Nothing to worry, you can clear using your explorer's option
