Karaoke (in Japanese) means to sing out of key. I have been a musician for over 20 tears playing at local bars and clubs. One pretty funny story that happened to me was that while our 4 piece band was playing at a club a local soccer team that just got done playing (still in uniforms) came to the club and about a half hour later the opposing team came in and full drag down brawl broke out and the club had virtually no security. Needless to say we kept playing and the 2 teams trashed the club. About 20 minutes later the police came and attempted to arrest several of the players, but they pretty much all fled with bumps and bruises.

I LOVE KARAOKE. I have a group of several friends that I go with, and we are all addicted to it! I think we like the attention, and it's fun to sit and listen to everyone else... It's also fun to get a bit "drinky", too. :)
Saw a dude once that was singing "Sweet Caroline", by Neil Diamond, and he was WAY too drunk to follow the words. He gave up about half-way through the song, and just started singing f-bombs. So we all had the pleasure of listening to repeated f^cks for a minute or so until the karaoke dj turned the song off. Wild.
I am a nearly 30-years old white, blonde girl, and I like to get up and karaoke to Eminem. Get's the crowd going every time! Ha ha ha!

I am not a person who has a public voice so i do prefer to sing in private, however, one night I went to the bar that my aunt works
at and I of course really drunk, asked my aunt to sing a song with me so I didn't feel stupid and she could drown out my horrible voice, so we were singing the country song " Grandpa, tell me bout the good ole days" I don't know too much of it, but while we were singing, me awful and her okay-not too bad, I tried to hit a high note and it screetched the mic. anyways my aunt wasn't drinking but rudely on the mic. yelled at me for ruining the song and I didn't care so I started singing " She's a maniac, maniac"
The whole bar started laughing especially those who heard what
she said to me. ..... I think its funny....

anything karaoke is good for me.
listening to bad people, and make fun of them.
listening to good people, and admiring them.
me up singing.
at a bar.
I like to sing karaoke at home, too, or at parties.
So it don't matter. Karaoke is fun in any situation.

I love it, I go with friend who sing well. I love anyone who has the guts to go up. I am a bad singer, but I'll do it. I did Adam Sandler At a Medium Pace one night and the bar howled.

I am a singer, but I don't like karaoke. I like live music behind me. In our band I sing, my boyfriend plays rhythm, and our best friend plays lead guitar. I am learning bass guitar, too! Now we need a drummer!
