soul searching...counseling is a great way to figure this out....the most important aspect is to change the behavior before it ruins more things for you....these characteristics are LEARNED behavior we are not born this way....sole search and think back look at those around you...look at your siblings, mom,. dad...grandparents...i give u credit for wanting to know...so u can control it...that's the first step to changing behavior....u have to learn to talk about things...thats why a counselor may be good because u dont know them and they dont know u...good luck

Counseling with someone recommended by someone you trust & respect could help. I am very compliant and nonconfrontational & I also want to know why I am this way. It takes some soul searching and really questioning ourselves as to why we react certain ways, why we fall into the same patterns, etc. Then saying if I change what is the worst that could happen? Isn't it headed toward the worst already?

hello friend,
my advice is to relly analyze yourself and watch closely how you respond to certain situations-ask yourself afterwards why you did things-was it because you weren't thoughtful or just because you have problems letting others get close to you?who did hurt you so much that you feel like causing pain to others-so they have to feel the way you felt?do you feel lots of hidden anger inside yourself?learn to take time being by yourself and to understand yourself better,in the end you are only human...and still a very lovable person.insideout.

Most always it stems from your childhood. Why not see a counselor that you can talk all this over with. You can also read Dr. Phil's Self Matters.

Does it matter? I think not. The focus at hand should be you have changes to make so make them. It doesn't matter what it stems from.
