Does any one know what town in Kansas Dorthy was from in the Wizard of Oz?

liberal kansas says it's the hometown of dorothy gale. No one else was claiming it so liberal proclaimed itself the official hometown.

The book nor the movie say exactly what town she's from, but she references Topeka several times, so she can't be too far from there. She also visits California and Australia with Uncle Henry in some of the later Oz books.
