I have bought a rat repeller which I plug into and it makes sound to repel rats (which human cannot hear it at all). There is a little red light on the machine and will be on indicating the sound is being made. BUT, what if the machine is only an object with a red light but actually is not making any sound at all? Any ways to test the machine is making sound?

Holy sh_t your paranoid. go get one that makes noise and go out of your mind or get a rat and ask him to have a listen.

That is a good question. You have to just 'trust' that it's working. Exert from a website:

The DX610 has a small red LED indicator that glows when the unit is plugged in. There is also a soft pulse sound you can hear if you are close to the unit. You will also notice an absence of mice, rats.

get a rat, put it near, see if it runs away.

anyway, the POINT of that is that you WON'T hear it.

Faith has a place in situations like that.

it doesn't matter since they don't work ( did you research or just read the fake testimonials - all testing by Consumer Reports and other Consumer Organizations said they were useless )

Call Foley's office and get him on the phone, then put it right up to the phone, if he squeals...it's working!
