sand in swimsuit/underwear?

Question

so what do fellow parents do when their kids get sand in their pants or underwear/swimwear while at the beach, sandbox, park, etc?

I wait until we're home unless it's at the beach, then I take them to the outdoor shower spout to wash off.

I've seen other moms actually put their hands down their kids stuff and get it out that way. I could never see myself doing that.

I pull their suits away and legs out and shake as much as a can. I may pat their booties and try to get some off but as for the rest, throw em in the shower when you get home, there's no need to be trying to clean them out any other way-that would just hurt! The only way to get sand off is to rinse with lots of water so I'd keep doing what you already do! The other thing that works great is to send them out into the water again and shake em out there- works for me!

Since I don't live anywhere near a beach, I always wait until we get to the hotel, which is right there.

at the beach the outdoor shower. havent had the others happen yet. but i would wait ti lwe got home and give him a bath if he was really uncomfortable i would take him to the car and take his clothes off and shake them out. and let him dust himself off

My son is only a baby but I use a wipey to get the most that I can off, then take him home and bath him.
