I think that for a limited amount of times per day, you can bump a question that you've asked back to the top of the category. Many good questions get buried in high-traffic categories such as this one itself, and askers should have the chance to give their question at least one new lease on life. Thoughts?

I agree... it does give you the option to 'extend' your question, but that's almost useless because nobody finds it anyhow. It would be nice if when you clicked to extend it tossed the question back into the current mix. Hopefully somebody pays attention to your suggestion!

I don't think that would work because as soon as it goes to the top someone will ask a new question and it will be pushed down again. A lot of questions get asked on here daily.

just stopped in for a few minutes, school out and the kids will control this all week-end, it needs to change, but not until all comes to a agreement

Well, maybe something like that could be done, but it would cost you more points to "bump" it up.
