Streatham Hill - Clapham Junction (8 minutes)
Clapham Junction - Willesden Junction (22minutes)
Willesden Junction - West Hampsted (8 minutes)
plus a lot of hanging about - around 15minutes for each train.

And, as he suggests, it's only worth taking that route if you're very broke and have a lot of time to spare.
