At a family gathering, so everyone would find out at the same time, we took a large family photo. It started as " OK say cheese, OK say Julies Pregnant. It was so funny having the photos of my Mom smiling at the camera, then screaming, then laughing/crying. Just have whoever is taking the pictures keep taking them after the announcement. My brother and his wife did the same thing to us when they came to visit earlier this year so i think it will continue as a family tradition LOL

Well in order to give you a good answer I would need a little more information. Are you both young, do your families know that you are dating, if so then do both sides of the family like the fact you are dating one another, are you married? If you are married, I would say to invite the parents of both sides of the family. If you are yound and bothsides know you are dating and approve I would say to do the same thing and tell bothsides parents together, if you don't want to do it like that then probably you should both tell one side together then the other side together. If your parents aren't really aware of the two of you, or don't accept the fact that you are both seeing one another my suggestion would be to you that you tell your parents, and he tell his alone. There isn't really an easy way to tell them. Maybe the best way to break the news to them if your verbally nervouse, to get the one parent you are closest to and just show them a positive pregnancy test then answer the questions. This way you are limiting yourself from a great amount of pressure. If you are married and your parent want grandchildren already then make it fun, make a little game about it and suprise them. I hope I could help best of luck..........

OOOOH I have a great idea, you should have a party just tell everyone it's just a friendly get togeher, and order a cake, like from a bakery, and make them like put maybe a baby carrige on the front or something related to baby's and in icing make them right were pregnant or were having a baby, or something to that extent that will be an excellent way to tell them the news!!!!!

I have learned to be honest, and that you can't make everybody happy no matter whom the person(s) are. Maybe you should think of how your parents are, meaning are the posiitive, gentle natured, or negative and don't believe in you?? No two are alike, keep that in mind when you approach them all. Have a plan, your parents probably want to know that you are secure and have a plan, goals still and that you will love that child like she's/he's part of your soul, and your boyfriend will be there for you as a husband, a great father for your child and a provider. Speak out of love only not out of anger prepare yourself for the responsibility and precious moments ahead.

Tell one family you are expecting a visit from the stork.
Tell the other family you have a bun in the oven.

not sure what you mean "tell them very differently" .. are you afraid to tell them? Or are you unsure how to bring the topic up?
