its only natural for us to be curious about other's lives... curiosity is innate.

Some people are bored and enjoy hearing news.
Others are really bored and enjoy making the news more interesting by changing the details.
But most men by nature consider gossip to be a "girlie" trait and don't enjoy it.

Well, it is like watching a train wreck. We know we should not watch, be we do out of curiosity.
We gossip and spread rumors out of either hate or jealously, maybe. Or, because what we may deem to be non gossip, really is gossip or rumor.
Maybe our intent is not always to talk about another person behind their backs, but we talk about them with true concern and love. Not knowing sometimes we are really a gossiper.

Gossip is most people's favorite pasttime to break up the boredom of everyday life. At work, we talk about celebrities that did this, did that. During our social hours, we talk about friends or neighbords that did this, did that. It's an important part of being human. It's a social lubricate that makes us talk to others. Better gossip than outright lies.

Gossiping normally hurts someone. I don't participate because I wouldn't want somebody to be gossiping about me. I would feel terrible.

No, you are just confident in yourself. The people that gossip do it because they feel inadequate and need to make others look bad to make themselves look it. They don't realize that they are making themselves look like idiots in the process..

WELL ITS IN 90% OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT , N HUMEN NATURAL!! AND ITS NOT IN ALL PPL BUT USALLY ITS IN MOST PPL AND PPL'S KIND OF GOSSIP IS DIFFEENT BUT IF SOME PPL DONT INJOY IT ITS NATURAL TOO , AND NOTHING WRONG IN IT.
