I've found the best (IMO) Ethiopian restaurant in San Jose (www.mudairestaurant.com), but I'd like to know where to get great lamb tibs and spicy chickpeas in SF. Fill me in!

There is an Ethiopian restaurant on Geary , we were driving from
19th to Van Ness and saw one on the right side of the street,
just before that overpass near Japan Town. It caught my eye
as I have never seen an Ethiopian restaurant before so we were
thinking of checking it out someday soon.

Cafe Ethiopia
878 Valencia Street
San Francisco, CA 94110

Cafe Ethiopia doesn't promise much with its modest coffee shop decor, but it's a welcome addition to the Mission. Eighteen dishes run the gamut from the hearty kitfo, a buttery Ethiopian steak tartare, to the delicate alecha ater, a rich puree of yellow split peas. Diners use chunks of injera, a spongy fermented crepe, to scoop up the flavorful food.

I forgot the name, but there are 2 ethiopian restaurants in Berkeley on Telegraph Avenue. Very popular.

The Blue Nile in Berkeley is great. Used to go all the time with friends when I lived in the Bay Area.
