How do you prevent an online mpeg from buffering so much or at all?

"Buffering" is what a website needs to do that is streaming a video. This only happens if it is a stream which means you did not download the movie file to your computer, you are viewing directly from the site. The reason it buffers is because your Internet connection is not quick enough to process the data being sent, showing you the video, and then retrieving the new data for the next "scene" of the video. To solve this, either download the video directly to your hard drive "Right click file link, save as, etc." Or get a faster Internet connection. The faster Internet connection may not always work however. It could be the server hosting the video is to slow for the video and you would get buffering no matter what your connection speed is.

You can't prevent it because it depends on your Internet speed. The only way to stop it is to get a faster Internet connection.
