Ramadan is a holly month, people become more and more religious in this month in specific, we concentrate on avoiding bas stuff, but still for Egyptians it is considered a 30 day celebration, we have something called "kheyam" which means tents, we go out to eat sohour (pre fasting meal) in these huge tents, there are famous singers and shows too, its really amazing.
but if ur talking about a special celebration these days, its the 6th of october victory, we celebrate this great event every year since 1973.
let me tell u about it, in the 6th of october 1973, we were able to kick Israel's butt, yeah we did that, nobody did that but Egypt. and till now, it is considered a black day for Israel and the jews around the world (no offence to the jews, these are facts).
search for that date on the net and u will know why we celebrate this huge event:)
there is another huge event coming on the 11th of october, its my birthday, maybe u meant that:P (joking)
