what's a good cross country work out? Right now my time is around a 26:00 and by next season I really want to be around 20:00 or even break it. I really want to work for it, does anyone know any good workouts, that don't involve running 6 miles a day or so? What are your favorite speed work outs? I want something more fun then mile repeats or 800 repeats. Anyone know of any?

#1. BOSU. (www.bosu.com) Great at everything, especially great at giving you perfect balance.

20 Minutes Cardio. Bounce from one BOSU to another like u're on mogles. Do mountain climbers ... get step routine.

20 Minutes Balance. Practice standing still on the squishy side of the ball; start with right leg ... then left leg. Then raise knee ... then lift leg to side ... and behind you. I'd practice on the squishy side first, and then flip BOSU over and do again on the flat surface.

20 Minutes Toning. Dead Bug - Star Fish - & pushups (there's at least 10 differt ways to do pushups with BOSU) - Situps.

2. Rollerblading. Dunno if you have great bike/ walking paths, but I have paths that are on every river in my area, and they're great to rollerblade on ... I can go about 20 miles a day in 1.5 hours. It's sometimes fun just to rollerblade on rough pavement to get a different perspective on balance.
