ok, let me explain the best i can here...

i work for a company that is going ecommerce.

we have a large amout of clients that we want to enter into a database.

what we would like to do then is get all the emails from that database to send out mass emails with promotions and sales of our new online store.

is there an easy way to do this? or a program?

or something?

it would be great to set this up in a way where almost one click can get all these emails together.

please help! thanks! :)

Put the data into Excel spreadsheet.
Each column contains one piece of data. For example: First name, last name and email address.
Save the data as comma separated file or text file.
Sign up for services like Constant Contact (http://www.constantcontact.com/index.jsp) to do mass emailing.
Import your data onto the system.
The software provider will generally provide you with additional informaiton on how to customize your letter, so that it doesn't look like a spam.

There are many software (some online over the internet, some off-line runs like another applicaiton on your computer) available for mass marketing. The key features to look for is how much tracking and reporting capability you need, like do you want to know when the email was opened, how many time the message was opened, how many addresses were bounced etc. Online version usually charge per usage fee. Offline version is one time charge (you purchase the software).

Sounds to me that you company is just trying out to see mass marketing is effective, then I would suggest using Constant Contact (http://www.constantcontact.com/index.jsp) their 60 day free trail.

BTW. It is not legal for a company to send out mass marketing without offering a way for receiver to unsubscribe to the mailing. If you do your own mailing using something Outlook, make sure you have some verberage about "write to us if you do not wish to receive any more email from us". If you use one of the ready made software, the software will handle it.

Best wishes.
