you should be very proud of him , how too cope with it is hard , but what you want to do is make him prould of you by you coping with it . I am sure he knows it is hard on you too, you don"t want him to worry about you. write to him as often as you can and tell him how prould you are of him and don't worry about me. Tell him when mountains crumble to the sea , I will still be here wanting you - God Bless both of you

Start a journal for him to read when he gets home. That way you will always have him with you thru the day and he won't feel like he missed anything while he was gone. Keep his picture close by to you everyday and make sure you look at it when you wake up and go to bed, plus smile. Nothing will help the separation, but remembering your love will help. Make a point to pick one night a week to write him a letter and just tell him about your day, so that he feels like the world has not stopped while he is gone. Surround yourself with friends and family and get them involved in sending letters or packages. If you send packages, nothing chocolate cause it melts. On your letters, include pictures of you once in awhile so he gets to see your smiling face, because although you are going thru a rough time without him, you have to build up strength to be there for him while he is really far from home. Make it an experience for both of you.

I went to iraq my wife didnt change much at all. She just coped with it. Bought video games. And wrote letters and mailed care packages. And she dealt with it from a foreign country. We were stationed in Germany at the time.

My ex fiancee went twice out there with the Marines, and let me tell you, I was devastated for a while... after you get used to it, just be patient and pray he comes home soon. One thing I would do is keep myself busy with friends and family
