He doesn't have a lot of money, but I hint to him all the time about him proposing and i have links on his computer for rings, things like that. Am I being to pushy? Or reasonable? we both love each other a lot and know we are going to get married eventually but he wants to wait like 5-10 years and I want to get engaged and then wait 1-3 years for the wedding.

You have done everything but propose. You are the one who wants to get married sooner. He is afraid that finances will get in the way, as they often do, especially when children get in the picture.
Why not propose, but suggest a long engagement, and ask him what would make him feel comfortable in marrying you, what he is concerned would be the trouble spots. Hints don't work, it is time to be an adult and negotiate as you will have to every day when you are married.

He shouldn't marry you to make you happy. He could marry you because of the fact he's a hundred% specific that's what he needs and he needs to be your husband and build a existence with you. If he feels like he became tricked or coerced or bullied into it, he will at last resent it... and throw it on your face every time you have a controversy. i'm on no account against prenups. they do no longer look to be romantic, yet what criminal rfile is? besides the undeniable fact that, his suggestions-set approximately each little thing makes it style of feels like marrying you would be some huge sacrifice on his section. it rather is in basic terms adverse, so a procedures as i'm worried.

your a little pushy if you have rings stored in his computer...Just wait for him to propose...just be a good girlfriend for him and come up with ways to make him love you more and eventually you will get what you want. :-)

If you love him and you know he love you just wait for him to do it, you don't have to get a ring from him to be engage, tell him that since he doesn't have a lot of money you would understand if he can't buy you a fancy ring, if you love him you shouldn't ask for something he can't afford.

Are you being pushy? Lets see here, he said he wants to wait like 5 or 10 years and you want him to do it now. Why would you think you are being pushy, you are just simply trying to get him to do something he doesnt want to do.

he probably wants to wait until he does have money. you can't get him to propose. if you keep pushing it you could make him feel insecure, like he can't give you what you want, and you could drive him away. he will propose when he is ready. as long as you are committed and in love, why do you need the rock to comfort yourself?

save as much money now as you can so you can have it a bit easier when you marry in 5 years and you will also know at the point whether you really want to or not,

why rush it,, if you are happy,, marriages is really just a piece of paper,

Don't push...or you'll push him away, just be cool and wait for it. If he's serious it'll come. Quit being nosy, that is one of the hardest things a guy has to do in his life! Just chill out and let him gets his guts up!

Just propose to him. It is not uncommon these days for the woman to propose to the man.

You souldn't have to convince him to propose. It doesn't work that way. If he wants to wait, then he'll do just that. If you really want to be engaged, then you should propose.
