I want to write a persusaive speech on school shooting and how all the states should have the same gun control laws but I don't know how to do that without turning it into a informative speech? Does anybody have any ideas?

Hi Angel,
what are you trying to "persuade" people to do or to think about in your speech?
You could pursuade people to donate money to the families of the latest victims, or you could persuade people to give money to the school to install better security or armed guards at every door......
There's very little that can be done to stop this sort of stupid, random violence in our society except: a) make the laws very clear that you will get a harsh penalty for this kind of behavior (but I won't comment on the death penalty) or b) make us all much more aware of the people around us, their feelings, etc.
In the case of the one-room-school shooting in Lancaster, PA, how come the wife of the guy didn't fully realize just how desparate the guy was BEFORE he went off the deep end.
So, maybe a good topic is to PERSUADE everyone in your audience to look themselves in the mirror and better understand themselves and how to reach out to others in times of need, not to go around shooting innocent victims.

screw the gun control issue,explain that a gun is a tool,and in the wrong hands a tool is deadly(even a hammer,chainsaw etc.)
also I would drive the point home that a man(except for war )isnt a man but a coward who has to resolve simple issues such as pride and hurt feelings with a bullet,power through violent means is only a short term solution with much fallout and hardship,just look at how the world(gov't and reballious factions act today) real power is in the ability to change a mind through an enlightend process,killing them by force is ludacris unless your own life is jeopardized. Jesus didnt conquer the world with a machine gun but with a thought of belief and a message of hope

charm to the audiences sense of suitable and incorrect. we would want to probable have plenty a lot less shootings if there have been plenty a lot less bullys. i have even ordinary some moms and dads who were proud of their childs bullying techniques. surely, even as some thing takes position like this, i think that's the community at fault. Get human beings to pay interest and intrude even as they witness bullys at paintings. good luck.
