Didn't they just call the US a bully because it was wrongly accusing North Korea of making nuclear weapons. They said they were for PEACEFUL purposes only like power plants. How is this complete lie going to look in front of the world? He's not going to at least try to cover up the contradiction like our administration?

So? The US has been testing nuclear weapons for years. Are you hypocrites aware that we have arms and nuclear crisis because of the US and Russia (both yet to comply, after more than 30 years, with signed UN's NPT treaties) and Israel? See:

I like comparison of Kim Jong iL to a crackhouse rat by biker.
Crazy like a fox is what analysts say. Kim just wants a blackmail paid in return for not doing something outrageous.
South Korea has been a good friend. An attack on N. Korea will likely result in immediate destruction of Seoul, which is as close to the North as NYC to Jersey. Japan could be attacked.
And, worst of all, China might step in and take care of it--which would mean they would take over N. Korea.
In the meantime, Japan may get so nervous that they decide to arm themselves with nukes.
In the end, paying their blackmail in return for IAEA inspections, while crafting a long-range plan to depose the regime might be the best thing. Won't make good CNN, but Iraq doesn't either.

Actually Iran is the country that says they want nuclear power for peaceful purposes. N Korea was using that line but for some time now they have been openly pursuing a nuclear weapons program.

We can only hope China will influence the Koreans to stop this action; this should be freaking out Japan major. We also have to worry about Iran. I think the UN has lost most of it's influence in calling for an end to nuclear stuff.

Yes if the North Koreans have Nuclear weapons. They are going to test them and not care what other Countries think. Remember that Kim Jong ILL is not the sharpest knife in the drawer to begin with.

They can't even make decent cars or stereos, so I seriously doubt that they can build an ICBM to effectively deliver a nuclear warhead.
