How do you cut the neck of a shirt for an 80s look?

I have a white t-shirt and I would like to add an 80s look to it, with either a cut neck or a v-neck.

Cut the t-shirt from 2 inches at the shoulder to the other side, like a boat neck cut.

make sure you cut two inches from the shoulder seam.
It should look something like a banana cut. you still want a little to sit on the shoulder so it slips off a little, but not too much cause you dont want it looking too stretched out.

80's look.. ha that's so funny, this just we used to do in high school is fashionable again, now I wish I kept all my , joan jett, billy idol and duran duran rock buttons we used to pin all over levi's jackets! Black rubber bracelets and neon nail polish and accessories. (save the neon stuff - don't go there! it didn't look good then and it won't look good now) Too funny!

Cut the neck really wide so it can hang off your shoulder.

you cut it with an extremly wide neck hole....so it falls over one shoulder...i did this with a sweatshirt for 80s day!!!!! It looks soo cute and is soo 80s!!!!

what I did was cut off the collar & a little extra on one of my dad's old shirts and wore a tank top under it.
