IF you're not sure of what color you are check out QVC.com and look under the Bare Escentuals area under beauty. Select a foundation that they sell and there's a yellow box which you can click on that shows you women wearing the different shades. Take a look and see which one is closest to your skin tone and select that shade when you order. Sounds like you might be able to use medium tan. Also QVC has a try me kit which is $30, it has 1 foundation, soft focus warmth, mineral veil, 1 brush. It's all smaller sizes but you can get an idea if you like it and if the shade isn't right or you don't like it you can exchange/return it within 30 days.
If you're near a Bare Escentuals boutique or Sephora store stop in and check it out, they also carry starter kits which run $60-$75, those have 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil, 3 brushes, and an instructional DVD. both stores have a good return policy.
If you're getting off eBay make sure that if it's not right or you don't like it you can get your money back. If not then order from QVC, or Sephora.

Good luck!!

I tried medium summer- original glo first that made me look dull. Colours-Then I tried medium- original glo, that looks very good for me. My skin is light tanned. The less you put on the healtheir your skin looks. I don't put on anything other than medium-original glo foundation sometimes with a bit of apple blusher. Anything medium is fine.

Types of foundation-It depends on your skin type. If your skin is oily and you want to make it look matte, there is one called semi-matte, there is one called intensive which is thicker. If you want a natural healthy looking glow go for original glo.

Go on the Bare Minerals website and choose a free sample kit. You are allowed 3 foundations, 1 blusher and 1 concealer. You only pay posatge and packing. I ordered some aged ago and it is still here. That way you can try before you buy. Then later once you know what you like you can get them from ebay.

No, No, No. Don't buy that stuff. I have had many of my customers complain to me that it's too "complicated" because you have to use more than one powder to get the desired look. Cut out the steps and the money and consider trying either Loreal Bare Naturale powder, Neutrogena Mineral line, or Physician's Formula Mineral Wear line. They work just as well if not better(no complications) than BE and cost so much LESS. Think about why it is on Ebay. Perhaps the person selling it already tried it before and got this on autoship and is stuck with it? Check them out at: www.loreal.com, www.physiciansformula.com, www.neutrogena.com

Go medium and get one of the sample kits that let you try several products for about 21 bucks! That's what I did, and I've since loaded up on the eyeshadow samples, and bought full size of my choice of makeup. Bisque is a concealer; warmth is for giving your face an 'outdoors' look.

You're gonna LOVE this stuff!

i have it, and it does duvet the full system faults. once you purchase it, you definetly favor the right brush, pondering different conventional brushes received't duvet all of those spots. for nice result use the comb that consists of it, even with the actual shown actuality that that's expensive for a broom. bare minerals might want to likely no longer duvet lower than your eyes. you should get a seperate cream for that, and then after positioned the bare Minerals on it.

I would try like the medium beige. My husbands aunt is blonde with a nice tan and this is her color. Although, I am fair and I wear the medium. The color are very forgiving and you only need a tiny amount.

i've used bare minerals for years and love it. you should match it as close to your skin tone as possible. you say you are semi-tanned but is that your natural color? are you hispanic or african american? olive tones or cocoa? if just light brown then go with medium first.....it's important that makeup blend not overpower your complexion. I hope this helps...good luck....you'll love bare minerals!
