I've had my period since I was 12 (4 years ago), irregular, but still about every 4-5 weeks. Well, I started exercising more, and went on a killer 9 day backpacking trip in July. I got my last period on that trip, and I haven't had one since. I'm not sexually active, so I'm not pregnant, and don't see an OBGYN.

you should start seeing a gyn when you start your period. it sounds like the excercising my have slowed things down. It will come back when you get into a normal routine again. Please make an appointment to see a gyn. Go to the same one your mom or friends go to. They are great docs! For goodness sake they deliver babies all day, they are totally the sweetest kind of physicians. Good Luck.

Sometimes strenuous exercise like a 9 day backpacking trip or even regular sports or stress can effect your cycle. I had several friends in high school who only had their cycles just a few times a year and their doctors said it was perfectly fine. I would suggest checking with your doctor anyway though just to be on the safe side.

You may have some stress on your mind or just too much going on in your life. I had that problem once or twice... :( but I had a lot of things going on at the time. I went a whole 3 months without mine. So just calm yourself down and it will eventually come.
