Ive got this virus name:w32.Rontokbro@mm...Wen i try downloadin any trial antivirus software like mcafee...norton etc ...laptop jus goes offf...wen i click on save or run...y is this??wat can i do?im jus not able to get antivirus and delete the virus..Plz help

I have 2 recommendations. First, if you have a USB jump drive (a.k.a. thumb drive or flash drive), use a clean computer (e.g. go to an Internet cafe) download portable ClamWin. ClamWin is an open source antivirus scanner. It has two versions, one is a portable version which you can run from the jump drive without having to install it on your hard drive. Scan and quarantine any suspicious files. If at all possible, I recommend you download both McAfee Stinger and Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool. Both programs can run from the jump drive. Both scan and remove the most prevalent viruses, Trojans and worms.

Second, you can use an online scanner. Someone gave a good list of online scanners. Some only scan while others scan and remove malicious files. My recommendation is to use Trend Micro's HouseCall for 2 reason. (1) it scans for both viruses and spyware and (2) it is totally free, other online scanners only scan if you want to remove them, you have to buy a license key. Good luck and I hope this helps.

use a web scanner, trend microvirus, semantek(norton online) bitdefender.
that might help. when its gone download zonealrms securitysuite, it wont happen again then.
