Many seals are endangered,..all are protected on some level..
The numbers of all seal populations around the world are declining...
I do no feel Seals should be hunted... no even by trtibal leaders or Inuits.
If people want seals or seal meat or fur then they should do seal farming,,like they do for cows or other livestock.. this way they can have what they want but not effect the wild seal populations..
I am against seal farming as well but it does offer an alternative to the hunting that is more eco friendly.
Personally I am against any hunting of killing of animals for simply luxury items like FUr coats, or handbags, boots etc...
I live in Wisconsin and Deer hunting is huge here... and you know It plays a important part in Conservation here... I am ok with hunters who shoot the deer, leave the entrails( guts) in the woods for other animals to eat on.. they take the deer home and use the meat to feed themselves and so on....
I am against those who simply go out and shoott he deer for the trophy of a mounted head on the wall.
I am not a Vegan and Not PETA I just feel Conservation is important and we need a balance. I feel the Seal Pop is WAY out of balance and headed for real trouble..
They should not be hunted..

the oldest and weakest should be to let the course of natural selection take it course of action.i hate to see a baby seal killed but a few will die from starvation. i think the plan for an all out kill is stupid.there should be vets and personel to pick which animal goes out of the pack
