I know the big 'O' did sing in the Travelling wilbouries, but I think that he sang "anything you want, you got it" on his own without the TW's. Someone I work with is sure that he did sing this with them as backing singers. I have a bet on with him.. Can anyone help? x

You Got It is frequently mistaken for a Traveling Wilburys song, due to the involvement of Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty.

Roy Orbisons original track "Anything you Want" on his Album was completed without The Travelling Willbourghys. They only added the backing on the Travelling Willbourghys Compelataion Album.

I'm pretty sure Jeff Lynn (of Traveling Wilburys and ELO fame) produced that particular Roy Orbison album, and anything Jeff Lynn touches seems to have a distinctive Jeff Lynn sound to it... he's probably doing backup vocals too.

So while that song is definitely a Roy Orbison "solo" song, there's probably at least one other Wilbury in the vocal mix.

It is a Roy Orbison song that he did by himself

I double checked Willburys site & theres no mention of them either performing the song or releasing it as a song by them
