Is Cannibus a drug or is it Hollistic?

I'm torn between wheather cannibus is truely a drug that causesharm to ones self or if it really is a hollistic remedy to several diferent illments.. I've suffered many different injuries from my days at Grambling Univ. playing football and i've reached the point where doctor prescribed motrin or ibuprofin doesnt do the job anymore when it comes to my arthritic pains.. The only thing that actually helps is cannibus in forms of cookies, candy, or your traditional blunt or bong... I'm a professional in my field and havent lost one brain cell except in the natural way of getting older. Tell me what you think.....

It's silly that it's illegal. Unless of course you are a Pharma CEO, in which case I can see perfectly well why you want the $tatu$ quo to $tay.

I think you should keep it up. Everything has a side effect, you just have to choose the most effective treatment that does the least harm.

First of all I have to say, I thought it was funny that Banzai was putting down the use of weed and in the same breath said that S/he knew of 10 other DRUGS that do the same thing.

I think like any other legal drug that you use, you should use with caution and not drive or operate heavy machinery while under the influence. People think it is OK to drink themselves to death, or to go to the Dr. for every little ache and pain and get pain pills, or pills for nausea, or for anything else when they don't feel good, but they are so opposed to smoking a joint every now and then.

I just want to ask what is the difference, Oh I know the difference, you do not know what is in all those pills you get from the pharmacy. Am I right?

Cannabis is actually an herb that helps ease pain from many sources. I have yet to receive any harm from smoking/consuming mary-j. My memory and IQ are the same as they were 10 years ago. If it eases the pain then don't quit. Why quit a good thing? Illegal or not, I will smoke till I die. Those who condemn it are afraid to experience it. And all those "other legal drugs" have horrible side effects that I'd rather go without experiencing, e.g.:bleeding ulcers, diarrhea, arthritis, abdominal pain. Pharmaceuticals are so good for us.....Yeah,right!

It's a hallucenogenic drug. It does not cure pain or reverse arthritis.

How do you know what it's done to your brain ? Have you done brain scans before and after? I've met people who used it recreationally for years. They were convinced they were fine, but from my point of view it did terrible things to their personalities.

Also think about how good you're going to feel one day someone sees you with it and you get arrested. Jail is no fun.

I also don't like you telling others it's a holistic medine. Kids have a hard enough time staying away from drugs.

You know heroin would also keep you from feeling your aches and pains... why don't you try it? It's natural. It's derived from poppy flowers, and what's more natural than a flower? (do you see my point)

it's a drug. any chemical used to change the chemistry of the body in any way is a drug by definition.

it is an unnecessary drug. Anything that marijuana does theraputically, i can name you at least ten other LEGAL drugs which do the job better. Weed advocates just want it legalized for medicinal purposes so they can feel better smoking up.

If the only thing that helps your arthritis are things like marjiuana or food, then there's most likely a psychological component to your pain as well as a physical one. Food does NOTHING to the body which dulls pain at all. And if your arthritis meds aren't working, tell your doctor. You only mentioned some low-grade analgesics, but mentioned nothing about anti-inflammatories, or other more appropriate pain killers for chronic use.

So i don't think you've really exhausted every avenue you have in treating whatever condition you may have. But marijuana is marijuana, and is and will probably remain illegal--try to find a healthier and more constructive hobby.

Edit: Okay, tell me something that marijuana is used for 'medically' and i can name you a handful of other legal drugs that do the job just as well or better, without advocating this whole 'weed culture' crap. It's unnecessary.

I wouldn't have such a problem wiht it if people just stopped saying their advocating it for reasons they're not. You like weed because it gets you high. Not because of medical reasons, not because it's natural, not because you can make good rope out of hemp. You want weed legal and advocate its use because you like to get high from it, no other reason. I wouldn't have such a problem if people just came out and said that instead of just making up BS nonsensical reasons in order to justify themselves being stoners.

Now this is a silly question. Marijuana is an illegal drug. There are a lot of illegal substances out there that make you feel good....at least for a while, until it kills your brain cells and you end up like a rutabaga.
