Its very hard to tell at such a young age. Your state of mind still has a lot of changes to go through before "You" are finally "You". I was 25 before I knew what I really wanted to do, and looking back at the things I wanted to do I'm disgusted and bored with them. You should play the field, get your hands into a lot of things, the more experience you have in different things, the more you will know about what you want. Many many jobs are not what they seem when you finally get there. You will discover this soon enough.

Take a sheet of paper and make a table with the headings 'Abilities', 'Likes' and 'Dislikes'. Under these headings write very honestly the things you think you are good at and the things you would like to do and the things that you don't like to do. Include subjects in school as well as activities in and out of school and any home tasks you've done. Put in as many things as you can think of. Here is the hard part. Show these lists to your father or mother, or both, or to a teacher, and ask them to help you think of jobs in the work world that best fit your abilities and likes and that avoid your strong dislikes. At school, there are counselers who are trained to do this, but your parents can give you just as valuable advice and maybe better, because they know you better. It wouldn't hurt to get help from both. Be inviting to any help you can get from anybody you trust, only don't promise to follow any advice. You will decide for yourself what advice to follow. Then look over the courses offered at school and see which ones fit your choices. A school counseler could help a lot with this part, but it must make sense to you. If something doesn't make sense, ask questions. In this way, narrow in on the faculty and courses that seem best suited to you and choose goals for yourself. Don't be afraid to revise anything as you gain more understanding of where you are headed and how things are going, but give your choices a good shot before deciding on any changes. This is not easy and can't be done quickly, and shouldn't be, because it sets a direction toward things you may be doing all your working life.

IF by the end of high school you still haven't decided what to do that's OK. GO to a community college anyway for a year. Take first year English and first year math at the very least. It is surprising how many programs that you could take need these. Take some other courses that interest you as well.
Don't worry most people don not know what they are all about on the way out of high school I'm 32 and just figured this out a few years ago.

First of all i will visit with a guidance councilor at your school. They can give you ideas that could direct you in directions that you want to go in. Secondly you may have been setting goals without even realizing in. Sit down and view your accomplishments and discuss those with the counciler. This discussion can lead you to a world of possibilties that would be great for you. i set goals for myself --- at 16 my first goal was to work my way to graduation from high school which I accomplished ... then I set three career goals that I have met all three within 10 years so I ended up having to set up more goals. Each goal needed to change as I grew, but it was around the same focus. Hope this helps.

Everyone around you is asking this question, "what is the goal?," not really noticing that there is already a goal there. How could you talk about a goal without a goal there? Obviously you can't.
You already have a goal, so, why do you care if it is this goal or that goal?

Become an English Professor. You obviously cannot spell or put a simple sentence together, so that should be an obvious choice, because when you graduate from school, by then you should be able to accomplish those simple tasks.

I think you still have time for such questions..you are still so young..but easiest would be to think what you enjoy the most..think 'bout Top 5 things that you would do and that would make you feel great..don't worry, even if you can't think 'bout nothing it's early for this in your age..

you know,it's a good thing that you are asking this now, because when you do go out and do your thing in this world, you will be ready for it,,you need to do what you want to do,,not what someone else think that your goal should be,,you need to do what have always wanted to do in your,,and when your ready for it ,you'll enjoy going to work,,and will not have regrets later in your life,,,good luck

You can go to careerbuilder.com and find a variety of careers. I think they also have a survey you can take to see what you would be better at. Do some research.
