If you just want to be a dancer as a hobby, all you need is the love of dance. If you want to be a professional dancer, you need to have tons of talent, the money/time to take as many dance classes as you can, lots of determination, and some luck.

Desire to dance, and two legs. Plus, some determination to do it and finding the time to do it. This is the main ingredient and a starting point. What is helpful, but can be acquired are flexibility, balance, good physical shape, strong muscles, sence of rythm. And, last but not least - good instructors to guide you.

heart, soul, music, feet, music, and rhythm. doesnt mean you hafta be good though that does help. neone can learn to dance its just a matter of being passionate. those who cant dance usually dont care or are mad b/c its not easy for them. but really, heart, soul, feet, music, and rhythm are all you need to be a dancer.

P.S. a lil strength helps too.
