The lake, which is so beautiful. The cool architecture and public art (Check out the architecture tours offered by the Chicago Architecture Foundation.) The theater scene is amazing - there are a zillion theater companies and you can go to either an expensive production or one that doesn't cost any more than cover charge to hear an indie band at a bar. Some of the small productions are really good. The museums, the restaurants, the amazing diversity....there are a lot of great free events....it's just a way cool city in a lot of ways.

The food, so much to choose from and you don't need a lot of money. The beaches and how the summers are sooo hot and the fall how the leaves change colors. The malls especially Woodfield b/c its sooo big. Halloween and Christmas (visit the Museum of Science and Industry for Christmas around the world). Its a unique and fun city b/c there is always something to do.

The summers are great, lots of different kinds of cusines, the festive season-usually in summer i suppose, the people I feel are more polite and helpful compared to other states and cities. Commuting and transport systems are alot better than most of the states, its a huge place but again I feel its alot better than new york, plus I dont think you can actually get lost in Chicago;its a grid lock, really easy to go about, wonderful place.

The food, the stores, and the awesome events they have annually here and it's one of the best places if people want to start careers in entertainment, and other areas. Chicago is also one of the cleanest and easily accessible cities in America.

I lived there most of my life and worked at U of Chgo for 17 years and never saw the thrill of "The Windy City". Don't like NY either. But I do like Indianapolis. It's like a little big city and quite artsy.

Its so easy to get around with the Public Transit here. There are sooo many free things to do all the time. Which makes inexpensive if you know where to go. People are nice. Good food. Energy, and clean. And you can walk to the beach.

Indianapolis is a joke. Chicago offers so much and you don't need to own a car to get around and see so much stuff/events. free festivals and events and still not that over-crowded feeling
