If I had to choose, I'd go w/Cari. It's cute but with a slightly modern edge. Depends, though-- with what have you labeled a person for the rest of his life with this name?
Cari: Turkish- flowing like water
Ashley: English- ash tree
'Ashlee' has been so overused, and seems to be too much of a piggyback of the new would-be star sister of Jessica. It's also sounds very Gone-with-the wind, plantation, Southern-tradition. Maybe this is your heritage, but if I were to go with that name (which I actually used to like), I personally would prefer the traditional Ashley or Ashleigh spellings.
