Yeah, perhaps your drunk?
Seriously, your mucous membranes are possibly aggravated my the alcohol, a bit like a reaction to an allergen, your body may be flooding the site with histamine for some reason.
Another thought is that alcohol makes blood flow to the surface of the skin more readily, and perhaps this engorges the nasal membranes also.

My allergic reactions are typically sinus related. Certain alcoholic drinks will cause a flare up. I have reactions to beer especially and all I have to do is have one beer to get congested.

If it encompasses a suited degree of wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) then it has a complicated bitter part that's offset making use of different herbs - ansie, fennel etcetera. cutting-part copies of absinthe in usa are all "thujone unfastened" and which potential they have been the two made with a lots decreased volume of wormwood or have had the thujone ripped out making use of chemical extraction. the former will heavily impression the flavour profile. it is likewise suggested that a lot of those US variations of "absinthe" are anise lite (to account for individuals dislike of licorice!)

Yes there is, Alcohol thins your blood and the senses that you loose first with thin blood is taste and smell. Your blood will pool in the sinus cavities putting pressure on the nerve endings. That will enhance your sense of smell and reduce your sense of taste, plus the alcohol on your toungue will deaden your tastebuds. Alcoholics notice that they have more sinus and nose related problems.

I don't know how many drinks are you drinking. are you snorting the stuff. you might want to change what you drink. you could be allergic to certain alcohols. A lot of liquor is made with grains thet you could be allergic to. Try taking a decogestant befor you drink.

Sounds like you have severe allergies. After all beer is essentially grain in liquid form.
The loss of taste is the alchol numbing your taste buds.

I saw a special on Dateline NBC once about this and it is a serious condition (I forget the name of it, really long), you should stop drinking immediately and seek out a doctor. It might be too late to prevent what is coming (Your tongue will shrivel up).
