Because we want to gossip about stuff, what other are wearing, what someone said, who is she with etc. If we do it around the guys you will say that we are gossips.

This is my guess. I love to go to the bathroom "in a group" because it's a fun social time. Girls are laughing and telling jokes and telling stories, and touching up make up and just kind of being generally silly. It isn't as easy for men to socialize in a bathroom because then they would be standing there trying to make conversation while their hand(s) on their parts. Which would be a bit awkward, I would think.

We need someone to hold the door close while we tinkle. Then we need to make sure we have no floaties in our teeth and ask our girlfriend if our hair and jeans look good. Is our bra strap showing? What do you think of so and so, isn't he hot? I think so and so is super nice. blah blah blah. We could NEVER do all this by ourselves. If we have to we find a surrogate girlfriend in the bathroom in case we didn't bring any with us.

Girls are much more social than boys. Girls go to gab about things outside of earshot of boys. Boys are homophobic, by and large, and dont want to even THINK of another boy and the mens room in the same thought.

Because men don't huddle in the bathroom.The smell in there is enough to make anyone want to run out screaming.

girls talk and gossip more than guys. half the time they just go into the bathroom to talk. =]
