Not all teen violence is due to television violence. I think a great deal of it has to do with children growing up alone, without supervision, without manners and respect. without parents instilling values. Parents are absent from the children, children are raising themselves. Not just because parents are working, even when they are at home we are so quick in this society to allow children what they want to keep them out of our way. Instead what they really want is our time and attention. And they are becoming more and more angry and left to their own devices they are going to make mistakes. And they are going to act out. And if they are angry they are going ot act out in a violent manner, because they don't have the maturity level to realize the long term consequences of their actions. Just my opinion. God Bless

I agree with Glo.....Seriously! When are we going to stop blaming the media, the government, the neighbor, the dog, for all the wrong of teens in this country.........Parents of teens today are either ignorant as heck, or they are afraid of their teens because they have always given in to them and now they can't turn it around.....They need some kind of guidance and they are not getting it I work as a teacher aide in a school and I cannot believe the language that is allowed in schools today as they walk past the teacher!! Nothing is ever said to these kids.....
This generation today is in for a lot of problems down the road, and the parents are going to have their kids at home even when they are adults in their late 20's, or 30's, because the parents today have created these lazy, bad mouthed , kids who only care about their friends....................good luck to all.........

i think it's because of their child hood.. maybe their parents, friends or they just got bullied when they were kids themselves.. for say : like when i was a kid i use to watch t.v and i seen a lot of violence .. i'm not a violent person at all... i have never fought in my life.. but fur sure a lot of kids grow up around bad neighbour hoods, i think that's the answer, but not always. i think that their friends influence them to be bad. if they try to act good in front of their friends, they are rude and they think it's cool. but it's actually not and some of their friends dont' agree with the attitude they give their care givers.. that's what i think!

Yes I do! I think they see how much attention it gets and want to be in the spotlight even if it's using violence, some teens need attention so bad they will do anything to get it!

Media , Yes. But the main reason , i think, are parents. Nowadays, parents do not know how to discipline their kids. And then they say OH, no, not my child. And coz of LUCK OF LOVE.

Oh it can be proven. Klebold and Harris spent hours playing violent video games to practice attack strategies before hitting Columbine.

Oh, I think the media feeds the fuel, but if the news isn't reported, people get very upset at that, also...
